Mariners Start Strong in Houston
What a day to be a Mariners fan!

Building the Lead
The second inning further solidified our lead as Josh Naylor reached on an infield single and pulled off a sneaky steal to second. He then scored on a sacrifice fly by Victor Robles. Also, Cal Raleigh hit a solo homer in the third inning, making it 3-0 Mariners. The 5th and 7th innings saw more of our batters' determination. Dominic Canzone delivered with a crucial RBI single in the 5th, and Jorge Polanco brought in another run with a double in the 7th to keep the momentum going, making it 6-0 by the end of the 7th inning.
Astros’ Late Rally and Mariners' Defiance
The Astros didn’t make it easy, though. A three-run homer by Jeremy Peña in the bottom of the 7th narrowed our lead. But no worries, our bullpen held strong under pressure. Andrés Muñoz took the mound in the 9th and despite giving up a hit and a walk, he induced a crucial double play to seal our 6-4 victory!
Conclusion
This was an incredible game that showcased the resilience and determination of our Mariners. With standout performances from RodrÃguez, Raleigh, Canzone, and the rest of the team, we battled through Astros' attempts to come back and emerged victorious. One’s thing for sure: with games like this, the Mariners are coming for the top! Let’s keep up the momentum, guys! Go Mariners!
