Early Ups and Downs
The game started off a bit rocky for us, with Seattle's Julio Rodríguez hitting a homer right in the first inning. But our boys didn't let that faze them. In the bottom of the second, Salvador Perez showed his consistency with a double, followed by a two-run homer from MJ Melendez, bringing the Royals in the lead at 2-1.

The Tide Turns
[The Mariners made a brief comeback in the fifth, scoring four runs and taking the lead. But our Royals weren't done yet! The bottom of the fifth was a spectacle as Vinnie Pasquantino and Nick Pratto brought the heat. A clutch single by Maikel Garcia put us ahead, scoring two crucial runs, before Joey Wiemer smashed a three-run homer to truly set the Royals apart at 9-5!
The Royals' Bullpen Closes it Out
The final innings were intense, with our bullpen holding strong. Royals relievers came through, and despite a late run by the Mariners in the ninth, they couldn't catch up to our lead.Royals Nation, this was a game for the books!
