The Mariners struck first in the top of the 1st inning with a two-run homer by Rodríguez. But we didn't stay down for long. Anthony Rendon opened up the bottom of the inning with a double, setting the stage for Willie Calhoun to blast a two-run homer to tie the game.

The Mariners took back the lead in the 3rd inning with another two-run homer by Raleigh, making it 4-2. However, our Angels showed resilience. Jo Adell and Nolan Schanuel brought in runs to even the score to 4-4 by the end of the 4th inning.Our defense tightened up, with some stellar plays that kept the game from slipping away.
