Mariners vs. Angels: Heartbreaking Loss in Extra Innings
Hey Mariners fans! Our boys took on the Angels today in a nail-biting game that unfortunately ended in a 5-6 loss in extra innings. Let's break down the action!Strong Start for Mariners 
The game kicked off with a bang in the top of the 1st inning. After J.P. Crawford popped out and Mitch Garver singled, Julio Rodriguez crushed a homer to right center, bringing Garver home and giving us an early 2-0 lead. What a way to set the tone! Unfortunately, the Angels quickly tied it up with a two-run shot of their own in the bottom of the inning.Trading Blows in the Middle Innings 
In the 3rd inning, Cal Raleigh hit a massive 423-feet homer to left center, scoring Crawford and putting us up 4-2. Our lead didn't last long, though, as the Angels managed to tie it up again in the 4th inning. By the end of the 5th, the score remained 4-4, and it was clear we were in for a fight.Pitcher's Duel and Missed Opportunities 
From the 6th to the 9th innings, both teams' pitchers and defenses held strong. We had a couple of chances to pull ahead, but couldn't capitalize. In the 9th, Jonatan Clase pinch-ran for Mitch Haniger and managed to steal second base, but we just couldn't bring him home.Extra Innings Drama 
The top of the 10th started off well for us when Mitch Garver hit a ground-rule double to bring in Josh Rojas, giving us a 5-4 lead. It looked like we might have it, but in the bottom of the 10th, the Angels' Willie Calhoun hit a crushing two-run homer, sealing our fate with a 6-5 loss.Final Thoughts 
Despite the tough loss, there were some great moments to take away from this game. Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh both showed their power, and Mitch Garver came through in clutch situations. Let's keep our heads up and look forward to redeeming ourselves in the next game. Go Mariners!
