Tough Loss for the Angels
Hey, Angels fans!
Unfortunately, it wasn't our night as the Mariners topped us with a final score of 7-2. It was a tough matchup, but we still had some noteworthy moments to cheer for. Let's revisit the highlights as we continue to root for our Halos!The Bright Spots
The game started strong for us when Taylor Ward smashed a homer to center that went 404 feet in the bottom of the 2nd inning.
What a hit! And we had Jo Adell working up a good plate appearance, drawing a walk in the same inning. Later on, a critical sacrifice fly by Zach Neto brought home Logan O'Hoppe to tie the game in the 5th. It's little plays like these that show our guys' fighting spirit!Struggles in the Middle Innings
However, the Mariners found ways to break through. Julio Rodríguez showcased his power with a long homer in the 3rd, and despite our strong start, the 6th inning became pivotal where the Mariners pushed past us with a few key hits, including a two-run single by Dominic Canzone. A fielding misstep didn't help, as a miscue allowed another run. This pushed the Mariners’ lead to 6-2.Finishing the Fight
In the 8th inning, we had a promising start when Nolan Schanuel and Ward both singled, putting us in a good position to rally. But unfortunately, a strikeout and a double play ended our hopes for a comeback that inning. Despite the final score, there’s always another game to look forward to, and as Angels fans, we'll keep our heads held high!
