An Exciting Open to the Game
Hello, Angels fans!
What a thrilling game that was! The Angels went head-to-head with the Seattle Mariners and came out on top with a stunning 4-1 victory! The first inning started off with a defensive showcase from both sides. Our pitchers were on fire, keeping those pesky batters at bay! 
A Breakthrough in the 5th
After a stalemate in the first four innings, the bottom of the 5th marked a dramatic turn for us.
Travis d'Arnaud walked, then hustled to second on a wild pitch. After a little help from another wild pitch, Luis Rengifo and Gustavo Campero joined the fray, loading the bases! Kevin Newman came through, scoring d'Arnaud, followed by Rengifo scoring on yet another wild pitch. Then the magic moment—Mike Trout smashed a glorious homer to center field, rounding it out with Newman scoring too, making it a fantastic 4-0!
Sealing the Victory
While Cal Raleigh from the Mariners gave us a little scare with a solo homer in the 7th inning, our defense was unyielding!
Detmers and Burke, taking on the relief roles, were precise and kept the Mariners at bay. Jansen's appearance in the 9th inning was the perfect cherry on top—no room for any Mariners comeback as he closed the game out striking them down! 
What a fantastic display by our team! Kudos to Trout for his majestic homer, and props to the whole squad for a well-fought game. Can't wait for the next one! Go Angels!
