Our pitching staff kept the Angels quiet through the first four innings. Big props to Logan Gilbert for keeping a clean sheet early on. But things started to unravel in the fifth. A couple of wild pitches led to runs, and then Mike Trout
hit a homer, putting us in a 0-4 hole.A Glimmer of Hope
Cal Raleigh gave us a spark with a majestic homer to center field in the 7th inning, cutting the lead to 4-1.
Unfortunately, that was all we could muster in terms of offense. Their relievers did a great job shutting us down.Final Thoughts
Despite the loss, there were some positives: Josh Naylor showed some hustle with a single and two stolen bases, and Raleigh's homer was a beauty. But hey, it's baseball! We'll bounce back stronger. Keep the faith, Mariners fans!
