Tough Loss for the Mariners Against the Angels
Hey Mariners fans, we had a pretty tough match against the Los Angeles Angels tonight as we fell short with a 5-4 loss. While it wasn't the result we were hoping for, there were a few bright spots worth highlighting.Promising Start
In the top of the 3rd inning, our Ben Williamson displayed some great base-running skills. After reaching on an infield single, he managed to steal second and then scored from there thanks to a clutch single from our very own J.P. Crawford. Our boys kept the momentum going into the 4th inning, where Julio Rodríguez scored, followed by Cal Raleigh. The Mariners were up 3-1. It was promising to see our lineup clicking and finding ways to bring in some early runs.
Angels Fight Back
Unfortunately, the Angels mounted a comeback starting with a two-run homer by Travis d'Arnaud in the bottom of the 4th, which put them back in the game, tying us at 3-3. It seemed as if fortune quickly turned its back on us as the Angels took the lead in the 5th inning with the contributions of Jo Adell and Chris Taylor, rounding the bases thanks to a wild pitch and a couple of timely hits. The innings flew by with neither team able to pull ahead, keeping the tension high on the field and in the seats.Final Push Falls Short
In the last inning, we were hoping to steal the lead back from the Angels. Unfortunately, the Angels' reliever Jansen managed to keep our bats quiet with two strikeouts and a flyout. We put up a solid fight, but ultimately the nail-biter of a game ended with the Angels taking home the win. The atmosphere was electric, and while we didn’t get the win, I’m proud of the effort from the team. Let’s get the next one! Go Mariners!

Keep your heads up, everyone! Looking forward to our next game. Let's come back stronger and show those Angels what Mariners baseball is all about!
