A Rough Day at Target Field

What a tough game for us Twins fans! 😞 The Seattle Mariners really put on a show today, overpowering our Minnesota Twins with a final score of 11-2. Despite the challenging season’s highs and lows, we always believe in our Twins, and today was no exception. Let's go through the game's highlights.

Early Struggles and Missed Opportunities

The first couple of innings set the tone for the game. We had a promising start when Brooks Lee singled in the first inning, advancing to second after Trevor Larnach walked. But unfortunately, Carlos Correa struck out swinging, leaving them stranded. Our bats were quiet through the second inning too, despite Ty France's double to center 💪. The Mariners, on the other hand, took advantage of our fielding errors in the third inning to score six runs. The combo of Julio Rodríguez's powerful homer, another by Luke Raley, and Jorge Polanco causing trouble, ensured they surged ahead.

Mid-Game Homers and Mariners' Strong Finish

The sixth inning finally showed some spark! Trevor Larnach and Carlos Correa each smacked solo homers, adding two runs to our score and cutting a sliver into the Mariners' lead. 🙌 Unfortunately, Martínez's closer held strong against us from there. In the ninth inning, Julio Rodríguez and Cal Raleigh further extended the Mariners' lead with crucial hits and another dinger. It was a challenging task to catch up, and our guys couldn’t quite rally back in the final innings.

Despite today's setback, we remain hopeful and loyal to our beloved Minnesota Twins. 🌟 Let's continue to support them and look forward to shining moments in our next matchup! Go Twins! 💙❤️
