The pitching was top-notch, keeping us on the edge throughout the game.Pitching Duel Dominates Early Innings
The first few innings were a tense pitcher's duel with both teams' lineups struggling to get on base. The Twins' pitchers were on fire, striking out Mariners' hitters left and right. It was a thrill to see Josh Rojas, Julio Rodríguez, and Jorge Polanco all struck out in the first inning, setting the tone. Both sides remained scoreless till the fourth inning, thanks to some impeccable pitching.Twins' Bats Wake Up
The game's momentum shifted in the fifth inning. After a fielding error by Mariners' first baseman Ty France, Max Kepler managed to safe at second, paving the way for Carlos Correa's double which brought Kepler home, breaking the deadlock. This hit seemed to revitalize the Twins' offense, and we could feel the energy shift in our favor. The seventh inning was where the Twins really shone. Carlos Correa doubled yet again, with Willi Castro showing great hustle to make it a close play at home. Ultimately, it was Christian Vázquez's sacrifice fly that brought Correa home, giving the Twins a lead. Then, Manuel Margot stepped up with a clutch single, driving Castro in for another run. Margot's steal was the cherry on top, showcasing the aggressive base running we've been missing.
