Tough Day at Citi Field for the Mariners
Well, Mariners fans, it was a tough outing for our boys today against the New York Mets. Despite a strong effort, we fell short with a final score of 3-1 in favor of the Mets. Our bats struggled to make an impact until the very end. Nonetheless, there's always some silver lining in these games!Missed Opportunities and Defensive Play
We had some chances early on with Cal Raleigh showing patience at the plate by drawing two walks. However, back-to-back groundouts in the first and third innings snuffed out any early threat. Julio Rodríguez had a rough game, grounding out in crucial moments, including a double play in the third inning. Our pitching, however, kept us in the game for a long time, with consistent outings from our staff, only allowing one run into the sixth inning.Bats Wake Up Too Late
The highlight of the game has to be Eugenio Suárez lighting up the Mets late with a solo home run in the ninth inning. It was a beautiful shot to left-center, traveling 412 feet!

Even though today’s game didn't go our way, our team has shown time and again that they've got the resilience and spirit to bounce back. Onwards and upwards, Mariners! Let's go get 'em in the next one!
