A Difficult Day for Seattle
Hey Mariners fans! It was a nail-biter today against the Athletics, but unfortunately, we came up just short with a 4-5 loss. Let's break down the action inning by inning to see where the game slipped away.
Julio's Early Fireworks
The game started with a bang as Julio Rodríguez smashed a breathtaking solo homer to left, traveling a whopping 413 feet. What a way to set the tone!

Inconsistent Offense and Missed Opportunities
The middle innings saw few opportunities translate into runs for our Mariners. Randy Arozarena and Josh Naylor had some tough breaks, and despite Ben Williamson managing to get on base from a walk and advance to second, no further runs were added. Meanwhile, the Athletics powered back with two homers in the early innings, leaving us chasing the game with a 1-4 deficit.
Fighting Back, But Just Short
Fast forward to the 7th inning, and hope was rekindled! Jorge Polanco stepped up, launching a two-run homer to narrow the gap. His efforts brought us within striking distance at 3-4.

Tough Pitching Day and Final Thoughts
Our pitchers gave it their all, but with Brent Rooker's and Miguel Andujar’s powerful performances, the Athletics managed to keep their advantage. It was a tough day for our bullpen. But hey, that's baseball for you!
Despite the loss, let's hold our heads high, Mariners fans! There's plenty of season left and more chances to show our grit and sail to victories. Go Mariners!
