Heartbreaking Finish in Oakland 
Oh, A's fans, what a tough day at the Coliseum. We gave the Mariners a real run for their money, but ultimately couldn't pull off the win, ending the day with a 5-3 loss. Let’s dive into what happened.Early Innings: A Back-and-Forth Battle 
Right from the start, both teams had fireworks. Julio Rodríguez of the Mariners quickly put them on the board with a solo homer in the first inning. However, our boys didn't wait long to respond. Miguel Andujar smacked a single to right, bringing in Brent Rooker and leveling the score at 1-1. Our excitement continued in the third when Rooker’s bat stayed hot, scoring Nick Kurtz with a single, tying it up at 2-2. It was a classic A's fight 
.Mid to Late Game: Keeping Up the Momentum 
The fifth through the eighth innings showcased some solid pitching and defense from both sides. While Jared McFarland and Taylor Sterner held the Mariners at bay on our mound, Rooker and Tyler Soderstrom kept getting on base, with Soderstrom’s eighth inning single helping Rooker score, nudging us ahead 3-2. The relief from the Mariners' side with Snider and Speier staving off our advance was intense.Heartbreak in the Ninth 
Just when we thought the A’s had it, the Mariners came back with a vengeance. Cal Raleigh delivered a gut-punch single to right in the ninth, allowing two runs, shifting momentum firmly back to Seattle. Dylan Moore’s sac fly secured their insurance run, making it 5-3. Despite our admirable attempts in the final half-inning, with strong performances from Rooker and Soderstrom on base, the comeback wasn't meant to be. Seth Brown, stepping in as a pinch hitter, was unlucky as he lined out to end the game.Hang in there, A's fans. Our squad fought hard today and showcased the grit and determination we know and love.
