A Strong Start by the Padres
What an exciting day to be a Padres fan!

Solid Defense Keeps Us Ahead
Our pitchers did a stellar job maintaining the lead. The Mariners had a brief moment in the 3rd inning when J.P. Crawford hit a sacrifice fly, bringing Tyler Locklear home. But that was just a blip for us as we kept their offense in check. Each pitcher contributed magnificently, from Gillaspie, Cosgrove, Rodriguez, and Davis, to finally Och, who held it down in the later innings.Closing Strong
The middle innings cemented our advantage with more impressive plays. Gavin Sheets dazzled with a double in the 3rd, sending Joe to the home plate, making it 4-1. In the 4th, Rosario struck again with a double to right field, scoring Brandon Lockridge, lifting our spirits and our score to 5-1. Even though the Mariners twisted a homer by S. Taylor in the 9th, our boys showed sheer prowess in the field.Final Verdict: Padres 5, Mariners 2. This victory was a team effort through stellar batting and unbeatable defense. Well done, Padres! Onward to the next game with our heads held high!
