A Rollercoaster of Emotions Ends in a Tie
Hey Padres fans!

Early Game Struggles
The Mariners started strong, taking advantage of our slow beginning by taking the lead 2-0 in the top of the 2nd inning. The Padres struggled to find their footing initially, but it wasn't long before we showed the Mariners what we're made of! Things took a turn for the better in the bottom of the 2nd. It all began when Xander Bogaerts doubled to bring Iglesias home. Gavin Sheets followed suit with a double, ushering in Acuna.
Our very own catcher, Martin Maldonado, kept the energy alive by singling to bring Thomas home, before Brooks smashed a homerun taking the score to a brilliant 5-2, electrifying the crowd and putting the Padres in the lead.
Mid-Game Drama
The Mariners clawed their way back by picking up runs in the 6th and 7th innings, cutting down our lead and eventually taking the upper hand with a 7-6 score after Sanchez hit a two-run homer. Oof, talk about tense!

Final Innings: The Thrill of a Comeback
Heading into the 9th inning with a one-run deficit, the tension at Petco Park was palpable. Our Padres kept hanging tough, and thanks to a valiant effort, Robertson scored! Costello’s grounded out was enough to align the score and bring home the tie by allowing Robertson's run to count at a crucial moment.
While it’s disappointing not to clinch the win, the perseverance shown by our favorite team was highly commendable.
