Our boys held the line and kept them from tying or taking the lead.
Tense Final Innings
In the 8th inning, Andrew Kittredge walked Mike Tauchman who was then replaced by the speedster Pete Crow-Armstrong. He stole second, creating a tense situation, but Cody Bellinger lined out to center and Seiya Suzuki struck out swinging to end the threat!Ryan Helsley took the mound in the 9th to seal the deal, despite giving a walk to Ian Happ. A stolen base attempt and a walk to Dansby Swanson made things tense, but Helsley struck out Michael Busch and got Patrick Wisdom (hitting for Miguel Amaya) to line out to left.
