Tough Loss Against the Cardinals
Hey Reds fans!
Last night's game against the Cardinals was a nail-biter, but unfortunately, we fell short with a 7-5 loss in 10 innings. It was a game marked by some highs and lows, and moments that had us all on the edge of our seats.Strong Start and Late Inning Drama
It all began with a terrific response in the bottom of the 1st inning after the Cardinals took an early lead. Noelvi Marte crushed a home run to tie the game, followed by Elly De La Cruz and Miguel Andujar setting up Austin Hays for a sacrifice fly to put us ahead. Spencer Steer kept us hopeful in the 6th with a bomb to center, and Ke'Bryan Hayes made things exciting again with his solo homer in the 8th, bringing the score to 5-5.Heartbreaker in Extras
Despite our efforts, the Cardinals managed to capitalize on key moments with some uncharacteristic errors from our side. Ultimately, a late rally in the 10th gave the Cardinals a couple more runs. Even with Gavin Lux getting on base in the bottom of the 10th, we couldn’t muster another comeback. A tough loss but a game that showed flashes of our fighting spirit.
