Reds Rally Early and Slug Their Way to Victory!
In an electrifying face-off against the St. Louis Cardinals, our beloved Cincinnati Reds emerged victoriously with a final score of 7-4. The start was shaky, seeing the Cardinals take an early 2-run lead in the first inning. The Cardinals' bats were buzzing with hits from Lars Nootbaar, Ivan Herrera, and Thomas Saggese.A Comeback Sparked by A Little Friedl Magic!

The Reds didn't let their initial scoreless inning dampen their spirit. TJ Friedl and the rest of the lineup had something to say. In the second inning, Ke'Bryan Hayes got our Reds on the board with a right-field single that sent Gavin Lux home. With a fantastic 2-RBI single, Friedl capped off a scintillating second inning, shooting us ahead 3-2! The excitement didn't end there. The fifth inning saw mighty blows from Austin Hays, who rocketed a 383-foot homer to give the Reds a 5-3 lead. The Cardinals tried their comeback in the seventh with a solo homer from Jimmy Crooks, narrowing the score to 5-4, but our boys remained unphased.
McLain's Monster Moment Seals It!
As tensions soared high, pitcher Tony Santillan took control by brilliantly striking out the side in the eighth inning, denying any Cardinal comeback attempts. And just to make sure the game was well out of reach, Matt McLain unleashed a breathtaking 370-foot homer in the bottom of the eighth, securing the Reds' triumph with a final score of 7-4.What a game to remember!
