Tough Start at Coors Field
Hey Rockies fans!
Unfortunately, we had a rough day at the ballpark as the Cardinals outlasted us 6-2. The game started with a promising rally that saw Mickey Moniak single to right and Ezequiel Tovar execute a sacrifice bunt moving Moniak to second. However, we couldn't keep the momentum going in the first inning. Our defense initially showed strong promise, keeping the Cardinals scoreless until the top of the 4th. 
Mid-Game Rally
In an exciting bottom of the 3rd, Adael Amador and Mickey Moniak teamed up to bring in our first run, thanks to a fielding error by the Cards. Hunter Goodman then delivered a clutch single to bring Moniak home, setting our score to a promising 2-0 lead. But things took a turn in the top of the 4th.
The Cardinals managed to tie it up with a homer from Contreras and a series of hits. Despite Austin Gomber's efforts, St. Louis pulled ahead in the 5th inning.Cardinals Pull Ahead
Although we tried to hang in there, things got tough in the sixth when the Cards extended their lead to 5-2, and later brought it to 6-2 in the 7th. The Rockies' bats went cold, and despite a single by Brenton Doyle and an 8th inning single from Amador, we couldn't capitalize and bring more runners home. Our bullpen did their best to limit the damage, but it just wasn’t our day. Keep the faith, Rockies fans – we'll come back stronger in the next game! Go Rockies!
