The game kicked off with our pitching silencing the Cardinals in the top of the 1st. Then, our boys came to life in the bottom half. Riley Greene doubled to left, bringing in Andy Ibáñez, and Mark Canha later scored on a groundout by Spencer Torkelson. Talk about setting the tone!
Pérez Shines Under the Spotlight
Wenceel Pérez stole the show tonight, folks. Not one, but TWO homers! His blast in the 2nd inning put us further ahead, and his second homer in the 5th was a sight to behold, driving in Torkelson and flipping the script after we momentarily fell behind. Pérez, you beauty!

The Cardinals did give us a scare in the 5th, momentarily taking the lead 5-4, thanks to a homer by Alec Burleson. But this Tigers team has grit. We roared back in style, with Canha and Torkelson setting the stage for another Pérez home run spectacle. The momentum swung back in our favor, 7-5.
