An Uphill Battle at Comerica Park
Last night's showdown between our St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers was a roller coaster of emotions, ending in a tough 6-11 loss for the Redbirds. Despite the outcome, there were moments that had us on the edge of our seats, cheering for a comeback that just wasn't in the cards.Slow Start With a Glimmer of Hope

However, the Tigers quickly took the lead in the bottom of the 1st with a couple of key hits that put them ahead 2-0. Our Birds were struggling to find their rhythm, and by the end of the 2nd, we were down 3-0. But then came the 5th inning, a beacon of hope! Brendan Donovan smashed a homer bringing in Michael Siani, followed by a big hit from Alec Burleson, who sent a ball flying out of the park, scoring Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt to snatch the lead 5-4.
