Tough Start for the Crew
It was a tough start for our beloved Brewers when the St. Louis Cardinals came charging in. Sal Frelick got us off to a hopeful start with a single, and Christian Yelich followed suit. Despite the promising opening, the bats went quiet, and we ended the 1st still scoreless.
Cardinals Grab the Lead
In the 2nd, the Cardinals capitalized on their chances, scoring three runs. The highlight came from a series of hits and a sacrifice fly by the Cards. Jose Fermin and Nathan Church added to the visitors’ lead. Our relief pitching finally put a lid on the Cardinal rally, but the damage was done.
Home Runs Light Up the Crew!
Our comeback attempt came with fireworks in the 4th and 5th innings! Caleb Durbin's stunning 359-foot homer to left field got us on the board, followed by Danny Jansen's 410-foot blast in the 5th inning, pulling us within one run of the Cards. Energy levels were high in American Family Field!

Pitching Shows Heart, Bats Fall Short
Aaron Ashby, Anderson, and Patrick displayed resilience, holding off the Cardinals' offense. Despite solid pitching through the late innings, our bats couldn't find that crucial tying run. The game closed with a frustrating 3-2 defeat.A big hand to our pitchers for stepping up, but it truly was one of those "so close, yet so far" nights. We’ll rally and return stronger. Keep your spirits high, Brewers fans! Let’s get them next time!
