Cardinals Fall Short in Philly
Well, folks, this one really had its ups and downs
Early Inning Drama
There was some promising action right from the start. Lars Nootbaar and Masyn Winn held down the fort defensively, while Brendan Donovan and Nolan Arenado tried to find their rhythm. The early innings were a quiet but intense duel with both teams unable to score. Our bullpen kept their cool, retiring the Phillies lineup, inning after inning.Scoring Action at Last!
In the top of the 7th, Ivan Herrera doubled to left, setting the stage for Jordan Walker to bring in the game's first run with a clutch single!
The Last Push
The Cards put up a brave effort in the 8th and 9th innings, with some key plays by Nootbaar and Winn, but couldn't muster enough to retake the lead. Unfortunately, strikeouts in the 9th from Gorman and Alec Burleson ended any hopes of a comeback
Even though we came up short, the team showed resilience and spirit! Let's keep supporting the boys, as every game is an opportunity for redemption. On to the next one, Cardinals Nation!
