Throughout the game, the Cardinals threatened a few times, but we held them off with some solid defensive plays. In the top of the 4th, they had runners in scoring position, but our outfield put on an incredible display of arm strength, throwing Contreras out at home. Pitch after pitch, play after play, we showcased our grit, with relievers Ferguson and Mattson maintaining a perfect hold. How about that double play in the top of the 3rd? Finally, in the bottom of the 8th inning, the breakthrough! Ke'Bryan Hayes singled to right, setting the stage. Then came Adam Frazier, coming in as a pinch hitter, smashing a ground rule double to push Hayes to third. The hero of the night, Henry Davis, stepped in with the clutch sacrifice fly to bring Hayes home. The crowd went wild! Our closer David Bednar then delivered under pressure in the 9th inning to seal the win, after a bit of a sweat with runners at the corners.Wrapping Up the Win
