Starting Strong
The tension was high as both teams came out swinging in the first inning, but neither team was able to score. Big props to our pitcher for keeping the Cardinals at bay in the top of the first. The second inning is where things started heating up! Ke'Bryan Hayes was hit by a pitch to lead off, and just like that, our rally began. Our boys didn’t stop there! Moving into the bottom of the 4th inning, Rowdy Tellez hit a monster 447-foot homer to right field, adding another run to our tally. That brought the score to 5-0, putting even more pressure on the Cardinals.Defensive Masterclass
From the top of the 5th inning onwards, our defense put on a clinic. The Cardinals tried to claw their way back into the game, but great plays and smart pitching kept them off the board. In the 7th inning, Mlodzinski came in relief and kept his cool, and David Bednar followed up in the 9th to seal the shutout.
