Both teams started strong on the mound, but it was Brendan Donovan who broke the deadlock in the 3rd inning with a solo homer to right field, giving us the early 1-0 lead. What a perfect way to set the tone!A Big 5th Inning to Remember
We really turned up the heat in the 5th inning. Thomas Saggese drew a walk, followed by another walk from Pedro Pagés. Donovan delivered again with an infield single that brought in Saggese. Then, Alec Burleson singled to right, scoring Pagés. A new pitcher couldn't cool us down, and by the end of the inning, our Cardinals were up 3-0.Adding Insult to Injury
In the 6th inning, Michael Siani walked and Jordan Walker singled to put runners on the corners. After Pagés struck out, José Fermín drove in Siani with a single. Donovan walked again to load the bases before Burleson came through once more, driving in two more runs to make it 6-0. Sweet, sweet dominance on display!Giants' Lone Run Not Enough
Our defense held strong, allowing only one run in the bottom of the 7th. Even with an error, we kept the Giants in check thanks to a critical double play to end their scoring threat. The final score stayed at 6-1. What a performance by our entire squad!Closing Out with Confidence
Big shoutout to our relievers for shutting the door on any Giants' comeback attempts. From Matz to our other bullpen arms, we held them scoreless in the 8th and 9th innings. It was a complete team effort from start to finish!Cardinals fans, tonight was our night! Let's keep this momentum going. Go Cards!
