Tough Night for the Rangers
Well folks, it wasn't our night as the Rangers fell to the Cardinals 2-0. Starting off on the right foot in the first inning, Corey Seager managed an infield single, but unfortunately, that spark didn't ignite further fireworks. The first three innings saw a lot of swinging and missing, as Wyatt Langford and Josh Jung fell victim to strikeouts.Pitching Battles and Missed Opportunities
Our pitcher fought bravely, but an early wild pitch by Corbin allowed Willson Contreras to make his way to second and eventually score thanks to a sacrifice fly from Nolan Arenado. The Cardinals tacked on another in the 4th inning when Contreras hit a ground rule double, bringing home Masyn Winn. Notably, Alejandro Osuna showed some promise with a walk in the 2nd inning and a single in the 7th, yet the offense couldn't capitalize on those opportunities.Wrapping Up the Game
Despite making some changes in the bullpen with Milner, Maton, and Webb, the Rangers couldn't get on the board. A heart-pounding moment in the bottom of the 8th saw Marcus Semien walk, arousing some hope, but a double play ended the threat. By the time Ryan Helsley took the mound for the Cardinals, it was clear their defense wasn't letting up. Our boys Seager, Langford, and Jung struck out one last time in the 9th inning, sealing the deal.Hang in there, Rangers fans! We may have dropped this one, but brighter innings are ahead!
