What a game, Braves fans! Early Action and Brilliant Defense
The game started with a scoreless first inning, but Ozzie Albies and Jorge Mateo quickly lit up the scoreboard in the 2nd inning to give us an early lead. Albies singled to bring in Mike Yastrzemski, who had doubled, and Mateo brought Albies home with a sacrifice fly. Soon after, Mauricio Dubón singled in Eli White, setting the stage for Drake Baldwin to triple, driving home Dubón. That inning ended with a commanding 4-0 lead for our Braves!Mid-Game Momentum
In the 4th inning, White further extended our lead with a two-run homer, scoring Michael Harris II. Matt Olson and Austin Riley consistently threatened the Rays' defense, and Yastrzemski was on fire, getting on base twice with doubles that set up additional runs. Our stellar pitching kept the Rays' bats relatively quiet, holding them scoreless into the 6th inning.Sealing the Deal in Style
Despite a mid-game home run by Nick Fortes of the Rays, our Braves answered back in the 8th inning with Kilpatrick Jr. getting on base and Workinger drawing a walk. The inning reached its peak when Baldwin crushed a homer to right field, sending both Kilpatrick Jr. and Workinger home and sealing our victory with an 11-2 score.Game Highlights and Looking Ahead
