Our pitchers were on fire tonight! Starting the game, our staff ensured that the Rays had no shot at gaining momentum. From the top of the 1st inning with three quick outs by DeLuca, Caminero, and Brandon Lowe, we set the tone defensively. The pitchers continued to dominate—special shoutout to Smith and Herrin for maintaining the control through the middle innings, leaving the Rays lineup baffled. Sandlin closed the game beautifully in the 9th with surgical precision.
Key Plays and Brilliant Hitting 
Things started heating up in the bottom of the 5th inning with smart baserunning and discipline at the plate. Andres Gimenez reached safely and hustled to second on a bunt single! Brayan Rocchio then delivered a crucial double to finally put us on the board, scoring Gimenez.Our bats really came alive in the 6th with Josh Naylor driving in two runs followed by a sacrifice fly from David Fry. The 8th inning was the icing on the cake with back-to-back homers by Lane Thomas and Jose Ramirez, adding insurance runs and making it a comfortable lead.
