An Early Power Show from Baez
What a fantastic game today for the Detroit Tigers!
It was a pitching duel for the first inning, but Dillon Dingler set the stage in the bottom of the 2nd inning with a solid double, bringing excitement to the home crowd. And boom! Javier Baez knocked it out of the park for a two-run homer to left center, giving us the early lead at 2-0. It was a blast that traveled 391 feet, showcasing Baez's stellar strength and timing. 
Mid-Inning Resilience
In the 3rd inning, the Rays managed to scratch a run across as Jonathan Aranda drove in a score, trimming our lead to 2-1. But the Tigers’ defense clamped down, giving them no room for any further damage. When the Rays came threatening again in the 5th, Riley Greene came up with a crucial single in the bottom half to bring Colt Keith home, extending our lead to 3-1. Good pitching, smooth fielding, and key hits kept the Rays at bay. Way to hold tight, boys!
We Roared in the 7th!
What a dazzling showcase in the 7th inning! Colt Keith smacked a colossal homer, a 390-footer, to push our score to 4-1. But wait, there’s more! Moments later, Zach McKinstry decided to show off with a 385-foot home run of his own. Now that's how you excite the fans and make a statement! It was delightful to see the Tigers putting their power on full display, ending the inning with a commanding 5-1 lead.
Closing in Style
The last few innings were a testament to our solid bullpen. Kudos to pitchers Holton, Hanifee, and Vest, who kept the Rays hitters in check and preserved the victory. The game concluded with a sweet 5-1 win for our beloved Tigers. It's always a thrill to witness such a comprehensive team performance that featured brilliant pitching, timely hitting, and defensive prowess. Let’s carry this momentum forward!
