Thrilling Start with Early Fireworks
What a game!
Our Tampa Bay Rays started with a bang against the Los Angeles Angels. In the top of the 1st inning, Chandler Simpson hit a single to start us off. After Yandy Diaz struck out, Junior Caminero launched a massive homer to left-center, bringing Simpson in to make it 2-0 right off the bat. A strong start for the Rays indeed! Brandon Lowe followed up with a single, but we couldn't capitalize further. Our pitcher kept the Angels quiet, striking out their lineup with precision. 
Keeping the Pressure On
The Rays continued their assault in the 2nd and 3rd innings, extending the lead when Nick Fortes blasted a solo homer to left-center in the 2nd, and Junior Caminero hit another solo shot in the 3rd! His second homer of the game put us up 4-0. The Angels, however, responded in the bottom of the 3rd inning with a home run from Mike Trout that tied the game at 4-4. That homer was a bummer, but the Rays held strong!
Grinding It Out for the Win
The game was tied until the 7th inning, when Christopher Morel delivered a clutch homer to left, putting us ahead 5-4! The bullpen was lights out from there. Jax and Fairbanks pitched with ice in their veins to seal the deal, with the game ending 5-4 in our favor. The Angels had their chances in the 8th, but our pitching was too much for them. The game ended with Schanuel flying out, securing the victory for the Rays!
