Tough Luck for the Mets Against the Rays: Final Score 2-0
Greetings, fellow Mets fans!
Mets' Bats Kept Quiet
The game started with a hopeful vibe, especially when Brandon Nimmo got on base with a walk in the bottom of the 1st inning after Francisco Lindor struck out looking. Luis Torrens then singled, advancing Nimmo to second. However, our bats just couldn't get going, and we ended that inning with Jose Siri striking out.
The struggle continued at the plate throughout the game. Our hitters were unable to string together the hits necessary to push any runs across home plate. Francisco Lindor did try to spark some energy in the 5th inning with a double to center field, but again, we were unable to capitalize. The Rays' pitching proved to be tenacious!

Rays Take the Lead and Hold It
The Rays struck early with a homer from Josh Lowe in the top of the 1st inning, pulling ahead 1-0. A groundout in the top of the 6th from Rortvedt allowed Jones to score, giving the Rays their second and final run. Despite several good outs from our pitching staff, the damage was done, and our guys just couldn't string together enough runs to catch up.
Pitching Highlights
A shoutout to the Mets' pitchers who did their best to keep us in the game!
Though it wasn't the outcome we had hoped for, we'll keep the faith and look forward to the next game! Let's go Mets!
