Hey Rays fans!
What an incredible game against the Pirates! I’m sure everyone enjoyed the offensive fireworks and solid pitching we displayed. Here’s a breakdown of the game as our Rays cruised to a 10-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates!First Two Innings: Solid Start
The game started quietly with both sides unable to score in the first inning. However, in the second inning, our defense held strong and we drew first blood thanks to a sacrifice fly by Taylor Walls, bringing in Jose Siri to put us up 1-0.Building the Lead
The third inning saw Josh Lowe launch a 411-foot homer to right-center making it 2-0. We kept the momentum going in the fourth inning with contributions from Yandy Diaz and Brandon Lowe adding two more runs to extend our lead to 4-0. The Pirates managed to put two runs on the board by capitalizing on some walks and hits, but our boys held on to a 4-2 lead.Big Bats in the Sixth Inning
The sixth inning was a blast! With Taylor Walls and Yandy Diaz setting the stage, Josh Lowe came through again with a massive 402-foot homer, clearing the bases to give us a commanding 7-2 lead. The Pirates were left stunned, thanks to our sizzling hitters.Defense Holding Strong
Our defense and pitching continued to shine through the later innings. The Pirates could only muster one more run with a solo shot from Bryan Reynolds in the 8th inning. Solid relief pitching by Maton and Devenski silenced any further comeback attempts from Pittsburgh.The Final Nail in the Coffin
The ninth inning was the cherry on top. After Amed Rosario and Jose Siri set the stage, Ben Rortvedt blasted a three-run homer to right field, putting us ahead 10-3 and sealing the victory!
Wrapping it Up
Pittsburgh couldn’t respond in the bottom of the ninth, and our amazing defense closed it out with ease. What a fantastic team effort from our Rays! Way to go, team!
