Rays Start Strong in San Diego

B. Lowe Breaks Through
The third inning saw the floodgates open for our hitting lineup. Brandon Lowe cracked a beautiful home run to left-center, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Caminero took advantage of a fielding error by Xander Bogaerts, which came back to bite the Padres as he stole second and crossed home thanks to a double by Christopher Morel. We were up 2-0 by the middle of the third – just love seeing the boys power through!
Sealing the Deal
The fifth inning was the charm with Curtis Mead coming in as a pinch hitter for Kameron Misner and delivering a sacrifice fly to bring Brandon Lowe home again, making it 3-0. Our defensive side kept the Padres in check, and Tyler Wade did get one back for San Diego in the sixth inning, but not without a fight. In the ninth, Taylor Walls ensured we had a comfortable lead by walking with the bases loaded, sending Yandy Diaz home for our fourth run. Our bullpen, especially Pete Fairbanks, closed out the game in style, securing the 4-1 triumph for the Rays.We demonstrated grit and tactical finesse throughout the game, and it feels great to walk away with the win. Onward and upward, Rays!
