The Rays struck back in the top of the 7th inning. Jose Siri homered to center, driving in Jonny DeLuca and giving the Rays a 2-1 lead. Our reliever J.T. Chargois tried to hold them off but couldn't. The score was now Rays 2, Mariners 1.Insurance Runs Hurts Us
The 8th inning was tough as Yandy Díaz hit a homer to extend the Rays' lead to 3-1. Although Jarred Kelenic and our bullpen did their best to limit further damage, we couldn’t prevent that crucial insurance run.Late Rally Falls Short
