A Promising Start
The Tampa Bay Rays came out swinging early in the game against the Seattle Mariners with a homerun from Brandon Lowe in the top of the 1st inning, sending the ball 391 feet over the right center fence. This immediately put the Rays on the board with a 1-0 lead against the Mariners.
Unfortunately, the inning quickly wrapped up after that due to two flyouts.Strength in the Middle
Our Rays kept the momentum rolling into the 2nd and 3rd innings by maintaining their lead and keeping the Mariners' bats silent. Junior Caminero continued the offensive charge in the 6th inning with a solo shot to left, increasing our lead to 2-0. Great hustle from the team up to this point helped us hold onto this lead.A Tough Ending
Despite keeping the Mariners at bay until the 8th inning, they made a devastating comeback. After a homerun from Cal Raleigh that brought in three runs, the Mariners seized a 3-2 lead. Our hearts sank as the lead slipped away. In the top of the 9th inning, B. Lowe, Caminero, and J. Lowe all struck out, leaving us just short of a comeback.
Always Rays Pride
Even though the game didn't end in our favor, there were standout performances from our players today. Both Brandon Lowe and Junior Caminero delivered strong offensive plays that got us ahead early. Let's rally behind our team as they continue their season and show that Rays spirit!
