Rangers Fight Hard but Fall in Extra Innings
What an absolute rollercoaster of a game, Rangers fans!
Our Texas Rangers went head-to-head with the Houston Astros and put up a valiant fight, taking the game all the way to the 11th inning, but ultimately fell 5-4 in favor of the Astros.Early Lead and Battle Back
We got off to a promising start in the top of the first inning, with Sam Haggerty scoring on a wild pitch after reaching base on an error. It was 1-0 in the blink of an eye! Jose Altuve quickly tied it up in the bottom with a solo shot, showcasing the Astros' resilience.Back-and-Forth Showdown
The middle innings proved to be a back-and-forth affair. Yainer Diaz homered for the Astros in the 4th to take the lead, but our very own Marcus Semien answered with a bomb of his own in the 8th inning to cut the Astros' lead to 3-2. And can't forget Kyle Higashioka's clutch homer in the 9th to tie the game 3-3, sending it to extras!
Extra Innings Action
The drama continued into the 11th inning when heroics from Adolis GarcÃa brought in Marcus Semien to take the lead 4-3. But alas, the Astros capitalized in the bottom of the 11th with a couple of walks and timely hits to push a heartbreaking ending for us.Heart in the Game
Despite the loss, the spirit and tenacity of our team shone brightly. Jake Burger made an appearance as a pinch-hitter, and efforts from Evan Carter and Wyatt Langford both in defense and offense showed our depth. We'll regroup and come back stronger!
