Rangers Start Strong and Finish Even Stronger!
What a thrilling game it was, Rangers Nation! Our boys were quick to take the lead in the top of the first thanks to a massive home run by Wyatt Langford that traveled 406 feet. However, the Royals came storming back in the bottom of the same inning; Vinnie Pasquantino hammered a 425-foot homer that put the Royals ahead 3-1. But don't worry — this was just the beginning of an intense battle between these teams!
Late Inning Magic
The Royals managed to keep their 3-2 lead up until the end of the sixth inning. It was starting to look a bit dire for our Rangers as our bats were having a tough time with scoring opportunities. But thanks to our clutch plays, like Corey Seager's RBI single in the 7th inning, we managed to tie the game! Shoutout to Marcus Semien for keeping that momentum going with an infield single, even if Langford was tagged out at home.
The 9th Inning Explodes!
And then came the top of the 9th — pure magic unfolded! With the game tied at 3-3, Wyatt Langford got on base with a walk and the stage was set. Following a bit of thankfully strategic fielding errors from the Royals, bases were loaded when Kyle Higashioka came through with a jaw-dropping double that cleared the bases, taking our lead to 6-3. There were cheers all around, as Josh Smith got Higashioka to third (although no additional runs came from it). In the bottom of the 9th, our defense was rock-solid, not allowing the Royals any room for a comeback. Game sealed, victory clinched, Rangers leave Kansas City victorious!
What a time to be a Texas Rangers fan, eh? Onward and upward, let's keep this winning streak going! Go Rangers!
