Rough Day in the Bronx
As a Texas Rangers fan, today's game against the Yankees was tough to watch.
Early Innings: Missed Opportunities
Our bats were quiet in the first inning, with Josh Smith, Corey Seager, and Marcus Semien all being retired in order.
Middle Innings: Yankees' Offensive Surge
Things went from bad to worse in the third inning. Aaron Judge and Austin Wells drove in runs to push the Yankees' lead to 3-0. Despite getting some baserunners, we couldn't bring anyone home.
Late Innings: No Comeback in Sight
From the fifth inning onwards, our offense remained in a deep freeze. Josh Jung managed a single in the eighth, and Robbie Grossman got a hit in the ninth, but double plays and strikeouts killed any momentum. Meanwhile, Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a homer in the eighth to cap off the Yankees' scoring spree at 8-0.Looking Forward
Despite today's rough outing, I remain hopeful for our next game.
