Tough Start for the A's 
The game against the Rangers didn't start as we hoped, with the boys in green and gold falling behind quickly. In the first inning, Adolis García's double and Marcus Semien's sacrifice fly put the Rangers up 2-0. Our own Lawrence Butler walked and stole second, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize. By the end of the 1st, it was 2-0, Rangers. Bats Show Some Life 
In the bottom of the 2nd, Miguel Andujar put one out of the park, giving us our first run of the game with a solo shot. Lawrence Butler followed with another homer in the 3rd inning, cutting the Rangers' lead to one. While our bats were starting to warm up, Rangers' Wyatt Langford had already answered in the top of the inning with a solo homer of his own, keeping their lead at 3-2. Rangers Pull Ahead 
The Rangers unleashed a storm in the 5th inning. Smith knocked one deep, followed by Semien's three-run homer that widened the gap to 7-2. A homer by Jake Burger in the 6th didn't help our cause either, pushing the score to 8-2. But our boys kept fighting, with Andujar consistently reaching base. Late Rally and Fireworks 
Things started to heat up in the 7th. JJ Bleday's infield single brought in Brent Rooker, closing the gap a notch. The crowd's energy soared when Luis Urías and Rooker went deep in the 8th inning, each blasting a homer to shrink the Rangers’ lead to 8-5. That gave us hope for an epic comeback! However, despite the momentum and spirit, the bottom of the 9th was unkind to us, resulting in a swift three outs. Looking Ahead 
Though we fell 8-5, there were definite sparks to carry into future matchups. Our lineup showcased power and hustle, and the never-quit attitude was evident. The A's will regroup, refine, and get back to making noise at the Coliseum. Until next time, Go A's!
