Hey Rangers fans! What an emotional ride this game was. Going up against the Athletics, the Rangers played with heart and stepped up with some big moments, only to see it slip away in the final inning.
Rangers Battling Back with Bombs
The opening innings were tense with few scoring opportunities, and then it was the top of the 4th where our boys showed what they're all about. Josh Jung, Jonah Heim, and Leody Taveras cranked consecutive homers to give us a 3-2 lead, and it was electric!
Our bats came alive just when we needed them. That 414-foot shot by Jung was something special. A Bitter Ending
The fight was on as our bullpen held the Athletics scoreless through the 8th. Unfortunately, things took a turn at the bottom of the 9th.
A fielding error allowed a run to tie the game, and soon after, a single by Jacob Wilson brought in the winning run for the A's. What a tough way to end a game that had us all on the edge of our seats! It's never easy to see a game slip through our fingers like this, but there's always the next one. Our Rangers have heart and grit, and we'll bounce back stronger! Let's go, Rangers!
