Game Texas Rangers @ Seattle Mariners (April 13th, 2025)

Rangers' Effort Falls Short Against Mariners

Despite a solid effort from our Texas Rangers, we couldn't quite pull off a win against the Seattle Mariners, going down 3-1. A game of missed opportunities and strong pitching performances marked a tough night for us Rangers fans. 😓

Highlights and Key Plays

The game kicked off promisingly enough with Corey Seager singling to center in the first inning and advancing to third, but we couldn't bring him home. In the bottom of the first, Cal Raleigh managed to seize an early lead for the Mariners with a two-run homer, putting us on the back foot right from the start.

Our spirits soared briefly in the top of the second when Dustin Harris launched a 408-foot homer to center, cutting the deficit to 2-1. What a shot! 💥 However, that was our only score for the night despite valiant efforts from our lineup.

Rough Middle Innings

In the sixth inning, tensions rose when a fielding error by Jake Burger and a couple of hit-by-pitches allowed the Mariners to sneak in another run. While Eovaldi and Milner kept further Mariners' advances at bay, we couldn't find the breakthrough needed to fight back.

Final Push and Closing Struggles

Our boys showed grit, especially when Josh Smith singled in the ninth, providing a glimmer of hope. But the top-notch Mariners bullpen, including Muñoz, clinched the game for Seattle, as Adolis García and Josh Jung were unable to get past them in the final stretch.

It's games like these that test the resolve of us fans, but if there's one thing we know, it's to keep our heads held high and look forward to the next game. Let's go, Rangers! 💪🔵🔴
