Tough Loss for the Rangers in Seattle

Hey Rangers fam, tough one last night as we fell to the Mariners 4-5 in a nail-biter. Let's break down what happened. 😓

Early Innings Struggle

We started the game with a bit of a struggle. Marcus Semien and Josh Smith couldn't get on base, but Wyatt Langford managed to double to right. Unfortunately, Adolis García couldn't bring him home. The Mariners didn't fare any better in their half, keeping the game scoreless after the 1st inning.

Rangers Take the Lead

In the 2nd inning, the Mariners scored first with a sacrifice fly, but Leody Taveras flipped the script in the 3rd with a massive 397-foot homer, bringing Carson Kelly home! We were up 2-1, but the Mariners answered back immediately with Julio Rodríguez hitting a 446-foot bomb. By the end of the 3rd, it was 2-2.

Trading Blows

We had more action in the 5th inning. Semien smashed a 351-foot homer after Kelly got on base, giving us a 4-2 lead. However, they tied it up again before the end of their half with a 2-run homer from Luke Raley.

Late-Inning Drama

The 7th inning saw some excitement; Robles doubled and stole third for the Mariners, but we managed to hold them off with a crucial double play ending the inning. We couldn't capitalize on a hit from Taveras either and left him stranded. 😤

Heartbreaker in the 9th

It all came down to the 9th inning. The Mariners had Victor Robles doubling and then stealing third. After walking Rodríguez intentionally, Arozarena finally hit a walk-off single to center, crushing our hopes. That final hit brought in Robles to score, closing the game at 5-4.

Moving Forward

Tough break for us, Rangers fans, but let's keep our heads up. We're still fighting and improving every game. On to the next one! 💪🐎

What did y’all think about the game? Let me know! #RangersNation
