A Heartbreaker in Baltimore

Hey Blue Jays fans, it was a rollercoaster of a game against the Orioles that ended in a nail-biting one-run loss for our beloved Toronto squad. 😢 While we were on the edge of our seats throughout, ultimately, it wasn't enough to secure the win.

Early Bird Advantage

Our Blue Jays came out strong in the early innings, with Bo Bichette setting the tone by doubling to left and scoring the first run off a double by Vladimir Guerrero Jr.. Another standout moment was Anthony Santander's homer to right center in the 3rd inning, stretching our lead to 3-0. Things looked promising as our bats were alive and running! 🏃‍♂️💨

The O's Strike Back

The Orioles, however, found their momentum in the later innings. Kjerstad's two-run home run in the 5th inning reminded us that they were not going down without a fight. The 6th inning saw the game turn when the O's capitalized on an infield single and some unfortunate wild pitching, leading to a crucial double by Mullins that gave the Orioles a 5-3 lead. 😬

A Thrilling Finish

Top of the 7th inning brought hope back to Jays fans when Nathan Lukes scored, narrowing the gap to just one run. But despite our late efforts, including a walk and a cheeky steal by Myles Straw, the Orioles’ pitching closed us down. The game ended at 4-5, a valiant effort by our boys in blue, but a tough loss to swallow.

Let's keep our heads up and look forward to the upcoming games, fellow Jays fans. Our team showed resilience and fight, and we're sure to bounce back! 💙 Onwards and upwards!
