Tough Night in Baltimore

Fellow Blue Jays fans, it's not easy reporting on a night where our team struggled, but here we are with all the highs and lows. We battled against the Baltimore Orioles and unfortunately, came up short with a final score of 4-16. It was a challenging game, but let's break down the key moments.

Close Race Early On

We kicked off the first inning with some cautious hope, as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. managed to draw a walk. But alas, behind him, the bats were relatively quiet. The Orioles got on the board early with a sacrifice fly, and we ended the first inning trailing 2-0. In the third inning, Davis Schneider sparked a glimmer of hope by reaching on an infield single and scoring due to an error, which marked our first run.

Battle of the Big Bats

In the top of the 4th inning, our very own Addison Barger crushed one over the center field fence, bringing Bo Bichette home and narrowing the gap to 4-3. It was a majestic 428-foot home run, and for a moment, victory felt within grasp. However, the Orioles answered back in the following innings with powerful hits and home runs, solidifying their lead by scoring six runs in a dominant 6th inning that included homers from Tyler O'Neill and Ramón Urías.

Concluding the Game

Our guys tried to rally in the later innings, including a 377-foot homer from Joey Loperfido, but we couldn't catch up. The Orioles' hitting was relentless as they continued to score and widen the gap. The game wrapped up with a tough-to-swallow 16-4 scoreline. 😖

While it's difficult to digest such a high-scoring game against us, let’s not lose hope, Jays fans. Every great team faces setbacks, and it's all part of the journey. Stay strong, and let's gear up for the upcoming games. We’ll get them next time! 💙👊
