A Battle in Beantown
What a game, fellow Blue Jays fans!
Early Momentum
After a quiet start for both teams, the Blue Jays opened the scoring in the 3rd inning. A double by Bo Bichette put the wheels in motion, followed by a walk from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.. Anthony Santander and Andres Giménez helped move the runners along, and Giménez’s sacrifice fly got Bichette home. George Springer kept the momentum going with a single, bringing Guerrero in to score!
Keeping Up the Pressure
By the 5th inning, our guys were not done. A single by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. set it up again, and George Springer’s bat remained hot as he brought in Giménez who showed off his quick feet to steal second. It was awesome to see Springer pile on the pressure once more with a great play in the 7th inning, adding to our lead with another RBI.
Strong Finish
Moving into the final innings, the top of the 9th provided a cherry on top with an RBI single from Nathan Lukes, extending our lead to a comfortable 6-2. The defensive outing was clean, with some nice moves from Garcia and a closing statement by Hoffman in the 9th.
Our Blue Jays exhibited great hustle and determination throughout, not letting the Red Sox mount any significant comeback chances. Kudos for a job well done! Keep flying high, Toronto!
