A Tough Day at Fenway
Oh boy, fellow Blue Jays fans, that was a rough game to watch. The final score was 15-1 in favor of the Red Sox, and it felt like every inning dragged on.
Highlights and Lowlights
Our only bright spot was a third-inning double by Addison Barger that brought Myles Straw home, scoring our lone run of the game. Beyond that, our hitters just couldn’t find their groove against the Red Sox pitchers. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette were kept quiet, while Alejandro Kirk and George Springer also couldn’t spark our team's offense. On the other side, the Red Sox were relentless. Wilyer Abreu and Ceddanne Rafaela hit crucial homers that expanded their lead. The Red Sox offense took advantage of every opportunity, pushing our pitchers throughout the day.
Looking Ahead
As Blue Jays fans, it's important to remember that it's a long season, and there will be games like this. Let's keep cheering our team on, as they gather themselves and seek redemption in the upcoming games. Go Jays!
