A Night of Power Hitting
What a thrilling game for us Toronto Blue Jays fans! Securing a 12-9 victory over the Cincinnati Reds, this game was packed with home runs and clutch performances. The game started with a bang as George Springer smashed a homer to left center right out of the gate! This set the tone for our boys who plated four runs in the top of the first inning, thanks to a bases-clearing double from Alejandro Kirk.Blue Jays in Command
The Jays built a commanding lead early on with Bo Bichette launching a three-run homer in the top of the second, putting us at 8-1 by the middle of the inning. George Springer wasn’t done yet, as he hit another homer in the fourth inning. Clearly, he was the player of the game with two home runs. The Reds tried to claw back, but the Blue Jays’ bats were relentless. Daulton Varsho joined the party with his solo shot in the seventh, extending our lead further.Holding Steady & Closing it Out
Despite the Reds making a valiant effort with home runs from Austin Hays and TJ Friedl, our bullpen held strong. Special shoutout to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for his heads-up base running late in the game, contributing to our scoreboard with a crafty steal and making the most of a passed ball. Jhoan Durán, among others, did a stellar job in keeping the Reds at bay towards the end. The victory felt hard-earned and our boys showcased resilience and power hitting to seal that W! Let's keep this momentum going! Go Jays!
