A Tough Loss for the Blue Jays: Brewers Rally Late to Steal the Win
Hey Jays fans, we had quite the nail-biter tonight against the Brewers, but unfortunately, it didn't go our way. Let's recap the action.Solid Start by Schneider
The game started on a high note with Davis Schneider launching a solo homer to right-center in the top of the 1st inning. That bomb traveled 401 feet and gave us an early 1-0 lead.Pitching Duel in Early Innings
Both teams were kept off the board for several innings thanks to strong pitching. Chris Bassitt did a great job keeping the Brewers in check, allowing no runs through the first five innings. Meanwhile, their pitchers were making it tough for our batters, with most of them grounding or flying out.Tough 6th Inning
The bottom of the 6th inning was rough. The Brewers managed to put up a crooked number. Blake Perkins stole home, William Contreras and Christian Yelich added RBIs, and Willy Adames hit a big 446-foot homer to make it 5-1 Brewers.Late Rally Falls Short
We didn't go down without a fight! In the top of the 9th, Ernie Clement doubled and later scored on a Spencer Horwitz single. Schneider and Bo Bichette also chipped in with key hits to make it 5-4. Alejandro Kirk added a sacrifice fly, but with two outs, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. came in as a pinch hitter and lined out to end the game.Final Thoughts
Tough loss, folks, but we showed heart in that last inning. Let's regroup and come back stronger next game. Kudos to Schneider for that awesome homer and to the team for not giving up. Go Jays!Scoreboard for Blue Jays @ Brewers (June 12th, 2024)
