First Inning Blues and a Quick Response
Hey Giants fans! What a rollercoaster this game was!
The Blue Jays jumped on us early in the top of the 1st inning. George Springer and Spencer Horwitz singled, followed by a groundout from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. that allowed Springer to score. Justin Turner then added a sacrifice fly, bringing Horwitz home, and Danny Jansen hammered a homer to left. We were down 0-3 in the blink of an eye! But hold on, because Heliot Ramos brought some early excitement. After Patrick Bailey's infield single, Ramos crushed a homer to left-center, bringing us back within one run at 2-3. 
Struggles at the Plate
The next few innings were tough for our Giants. We hit plenty of routine groundouts and flyouts. The Blue Jays added to their lead in the 4th inning with a Leo Jimenez single to center, bringing the score to 4-2. Patrick Bailey stood out with another single, but we couldn't convert those hits into runs. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays' Spencer Horwitz put on a show with a solo home run in the 5th inning, making it 5-2. Our batters just couldn't find gaps, and their defense was solid.
Pitcher's Efforts and Late Game Hopes
Kudos to our pitching staff for hanging tough. Rodríguez and both Rogers brothers did their best to keep the Blue Jays at five runs. But our offense went cold from the 4th inning onward. No baserunners meant no threats until the 9th inning when Mike Yastrzemski brought some hope with a towering solo homer to right, making it a 5-3 game. Alas, it was too little too late as Wilmer Flores struck out to end the game.Final score: Giants 3, Blue Jays 5.
